because we all need somewhere to belong

We Been Knew

Over here in this part of the world, we sort of knew Trump was going to win again. It’s not like it was ever a big mystery, with Kamala and the Dems leaning further right, the rise of loud, confident right wing podcast bros, Zionist money propping up hundreds of American politicians, and (at least from our perspective), the complete lack of a concrete policy stand that isn’t neoliberal bullshit, it would have been damn near amazing if Kamala Harris could even muster a fair fight.

And so it happened. And so as some of us expected, amidst the hand-wringing, moaning, and great gnashing of teeth, the Arab-Americans, the Latinos, anyone brown, really keeps getting blamed for the failure of half of white Americans to convince the rest of the country they had a plan.

Perhaps it’s all part of the fall of Empire. The UK is now attractive to the same moneyed people it’s always been a haven for, the rest of Europe is just continuing its slide into the right, and America is fast disintegrating…for non-whites.

The whites are gonna be fine. Or more accurately, they’ll survive. Some will be worse off than others, but not in any numbers enough to make the country realize the real war is always a Class War.

What a time to be alive.
