The only section of Nagoya Castle open to visitors at the moment, the palace has been painstakingly reconstructed after WW2. Almost everything inside has been hand carved or painted or hand-somethinged.

A short train ride via the Subway line, I’m just amazed at how super accessible it is, even as major restoration work is being done to the main keep of Nagoya Castle. We might come back to see what it looks like.
