It feels good to be back writing. It was always a means to an escape, during a time before we became so addicted to the short-form distractions that Facebook and twitter that anything longer than a paragraph became a chore.

It didn’t matter that nobody read the posts. It wasn’t about likes, or clicks, or engagement. There were analytics, but it wasn’t even something people thought about. It was a place to vent, and to just breathe.

I made some of my best friendships like this. Met the love of my life, too. Everything feels familiar, yet new, right now. Feels…good.
